Okay, here’s the deal. I was planning to launch on a lovely touring campaign, visiting sites and reporting on the ones that were worth exploring. I had my agenda in focus. I was ready to go.
And then I broke my leg. And probably my ankle. Not sure on that yet. But I’m consigned to a wheelchair for the next 6 weeks. So much for exploring.
How could a careful person such as myself break her leg? Running barefoot on wet grass. Yes, you’d think I’d know better.
Now it’s Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation for me.
Sigh. Them’s the breaks, folks.
Later That Same Lifetime

It’s been four weeks. I’ve been pretty good–which means I’ve stayed off the foot so that the ankle part of the injury doesn’t get aggravated. That also means I’ve been confined to a wheelchair and haven’t been able to go anywhere for four weeks!! FOUR WEEKS!!!
I did get to attend A Taste Of Pismo due to the saintly administrations of my youngest son who pushed be around in the gravel and stood in lines to get me goodies. What fun! It was like a very large party with lots of nice guests.
And I got to go to the Mother’s Day Brunch at the Madonna Inn. Here I am, out front. I took some pictures of the feast but they didn’t turn out. Wonderful crabs legs and prime rib!
Next week I hope to be allowed to go to my sister’s where our Dutch cousins, touring the Western National Parks, are coming for lunch.
